Old Boxing Gym Destined for Greatness

Six or 7 weeks ago, the oldest fitness gym in this area shut down after 60 years in business.

My dad l acquired how to box there back in the day.

The gym is exactly the type that you would see in an aged boxing film. There was a gigantic ring in the middle of the venue with a huge ceiling. There was a variety of boxing machine there to work on jabs. After decades of use, the gym was starting to resemble an aged warehouse. The owner of the boxing gym didn’t have the currency to spend our money for new machine & materials, & customers stopped using the facility. Six weeks ago, they shut down & the lot & building has been vacant since then; last Saturday, our bestie & I were heading over to the Regal Cinema & saw a huge sign in the front window of the boxing training center. They are turning the aged gym into a huge bodybuilding megaplex. The name of the supplier was written on the construction sign & it is 1 of those nationally known companies that specializes in bodybuilding & weightlifting. They are going to open for company just prior to the Winter holidays. I am blissful that someone is going to turn the building into a great new place. I’m not sure that our family or I will find much use for a bodybuilding or weightlifting fitness center, but the revenue will be good for the local company & our neighborhood. It’s also going to be a boon to the restaurant at the end of the corner. Maybe they can sell a healthy lunch to the bodybuilders who work out there.
