Let’s act on climate change!
For the past years, I have: recycled, switch from regular to organic food (mostly), lower the heat thermostat during the winters, bought things from ebay, used reusable bags instead of the plastic/paper ones, control my water consumption, switch from regular to energy-saving light bulbs, used eco-friendly cleaning products…In 2009 I will focus on trying to find new ways for things I own instead of throwing them away, and growing organic fruits and vegetables (well as much as my backyard can).
Sometimes it seems that I’m trying so hard to have an impact on the environment that I feel lonely. Other days I think that I’m not the only one. I’m part of a movement that is growing and growing, and that our attitude is so positive that we’re making a difference every day.
As John Lennon said: “You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us and the world will be as one”.
Act now on climate change. Make a difference. Join us.
